Slaking is a rapid wetting of soil aggregates that affects their stability in the face effects water. The aggregate’s has an indirect influence on functioning through its minimising erosion. Testing slaking very simple, does not need additional complicated equipment and could be done for any point. was performed natural air-dry (7–10 mm) sampled from arable layers four different types soils within young hummocky moraine landscape: Eutric Regosol (Protocalcic), Haplic Luvisol Albic Luvisol, Mollic Gleysol. tests were soil-erosive catena located Chełmno Lake District (Northern Poland) tops hummocks shoulder to bottom part depressions. test results demonstrated significant decrease aggregate Gleysol Regosols (Protocalcic) – is, colluvial at depressions completely eroded hummock-top soils. However, 75% all unstable when time destruction less than 300 sec. Oppositely laying hummock tops, 70% Gleysols water stable. mean each depression 209 Regosol, 375 616 772 main properties affected are clay content (very strong negative correlation; r=–0.72); organic carbon (strong positive r=0.69), secondary carbonates r=–0.69).
